 “Chanukah Stories From Oykvetchnik”

Scott Davis, author, seven time Emmy Award winner, retired UNC -TV executive producer and founder of Jewish Storyteller Press, will present stories from his latest book,  “Chanukah Tales from Oykvetchnik.”

“My book was inspired by my performances at JCC Speaker Luncheons over the past several years so I am delighted to present a few of these stories now at this speaker luncheon.”


Scott Hilton Davis is a lifelong storyteller, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, and collector of Jewish short stories from 19th century Eastern Europe. He is the author of Souls Are Flying! A Celebration of Jewish Stories and the editor of the first English translation of Jacob Dinezon’s Yiddish story collection, Memories and Scenes: Shtetl, Childhood, Writers
