Steve LeVine, writer, and blogger specializing in the future, reports on robots, artificial intelligence, new energy technology, geopolitics and economics for Axios, where he is the Futures Editor.  He is a Future Tense Fellow at the New America Foundation and teaches in Georgetown University’s Security Studies Program.

Previously Steve was a foreign correspondent for eighteen years in the former Soviet Union, Pakistan and the Philippines, and bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal.  A former writer for The New York Times, The Financial Times and Newsweek, Steve was on the team that launched Quartz, where he served as Washington Correspondent for four years.

He is the author of three books, The Powerhouse; The Oil and the Glory, selected by BusinessWeek magazine as a Top 10 Book of The Year; and Putin’s Labyrinth, a profile of Russia through the life and death of six Russians. Steve lives in Washington, D.C.
