Prof. West’s work at UNC uses computer models to show the effects of emissions and climate change on global air quality, and how international transport of air pollutants effects health. The relationships between air pollution and climate change impacts environmental science and policy.
Prof. West’s background includes research scientist at Princeton U; EPA in Washington, DC, postdoctoral research at MIT and visiting scientist at National Institute of Ecology – Mexico City.
