This class will introduce attendees to the ancient and wonderful tradition of Jewish Meditation. Topics that will be discussed are the history of Jewish Meditation back to Biblical times, the difference between meditation and prayer and the purpose of meditation. The class will finish with several short meditations using different techniques.
Following the class there will be snacks served giving you a chance to interact with the instructor and ask him any questions you may have.
About the Instructor: Hal Marcus has been studying Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism, for over 15 years and teaching Jewish meditation for the past 5 years. He has taught at all the area synagogues and has been a guest presenter for Melton. His knowledge and techniques have been guided by a personal one-on-one meeting with Rabbi Wolfe, a renowned Chabad Kabbalist.
